About Us

At Gibson

Our worship experiences are generally every Sunday morning at 9:30AM. We would love to meet you, and we have a place for you! Are you looking for belonging, a place and people where you are known and loved? Where you are nourished, encouraged and expected to grow, and where you are able to serve? Come and see what the Holy Spirit is doing at Gibson!

Our Mission

We are on mission with God as he lovingly reigns, redeems, and restores; blessing the world through Jesus Christ and his people.

Our Vision

For far too long the Church has been known for what it is against. We want to be known for what we are for. We are…

For God.

For People.

For Laketown.

PASTOR

Rod Brandsen

Rod loves God, his Word, his world, his people, and he serves at the pleasure of The King. Rod considers that he has always had a congregation he pastored for most of his professional life. For 30 years, Rod taught Bible at Holland Christian High School, and was also an administrator at Holland Christian Schools. He taught Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Hermeneutics, World Religions, and Reformed Doctrine. Rod graduated from Calvin University with a BA degree, and a MA in Teaching with a concentration in Biblical and Theological Studies. He has been a member and served as a worship leader, elder, youth leader, and teacher at Faith Christian Reformed Church. Rod loves to play his trumpet or cajon, sing, and make music with his family, as well as dabble in photography. He is blessed with an incredible wife, Kerri, his high school sweetheart whom he married in 1981, and they have been gifted with 3 amazing kids and spouses of whom they are extremely proud, and love immensely.

"This is a testimonial from a church member showing what the church is like in their words."
